Shade Sail Repairs

Shade sails are susceptible to damage because of their exposure to environmental factors such as heat, rain and wind, so there may be times when you need to make repairs. Luckily, most problems can be fixed relatively easily.

Some of the damages that might occur include sagging, which often happens if the shade sail is not installed properly or does not have the right curvature. This is a problem when an accumulation of water, leaves and other debris is weighing it down in the middle, and there is a danger of the whole shade sail collapsing from the pressure. The easiest way to fix this problem is to take the shade down and give it a good clean, then re-install it, making sure the fabric is pulled tight enough.

Small tears and holes in your shade sail can be fixed by simply patching them up, but it is a good idea to use the same fabric as the original so that you don’t compromise the level of protection. During extreme weather conditions, such as harsh winds and storms, it might be a good idea to take your shade sail down for the duration of the destructive weather to prevent damage from occurring.
