Location
First of all, consider where it is going to be installed. The size of the area should be assessed to determine whether it is large enough to accommodate the size of shade sail you are looking at. The ideal area should have appropriately placed trees or posts to anchor the shade sail.
Fixing points
You will need at least three or four strong, stable fixing points such as trees, fences, metal posts, and fascias. If you do not have these and cannot install them, you may need something smaller like an umbrella.
